We just could not believe how amazing Kate Middleton looked merely hours after giving birth. The Duchess of Cambridge, 33, looked positively radiant as she stood on the steps of St Mary’s Hospital on Saturday afternoon where she showed her little girl off to the world, and her appearance was flawless.
Having given birth at 8.34am Kate emerged only 10 hours later wearing a buttercup yellow and white Jenny Packham dress (she also wore a dress by the same designer after the birth of Prince George) which she paired with nude heels.
As usual Kate went for a natural look when it came to her makeup with a flattering shade of brown for her eye shadow, a hint of blusher and nude lipstick.
To get the same look:
Apply foundation or tinted moisturiser to even out your skin tone. Highlight your cheekbones with a light, rose pink blusher before focusing on your eyes. If necessary fill in your eyebrows with a matching shade of eye shadow but remember that you are trying to create a natural look. For your eye makeup select a mid brown eye shadow and blend this from your lash line up to your brow bone, it should appear lighter as you blend upwards. Line your eyes with dark brown eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line and a coat of mascara completes your eye makeup. Slick on some nude lipstick for a dewy finish.
It is said that Kate always does her own makeup for any public appearance but when it comes to her hair clearly only a professional will do as hairstylist Mrs Cook Tucker was seen entering the hospital. Kate’s locks were blow dried to perfection giving her a bouncy blowout that framed her face nicely. If you would like to recreate Kate’s flowing waves then there is no need to worry if you don’t have your own stylist to hand.
